Remembering Bonnie: A Legacy of Faith, Strength, and a Mountain in Her Honor

Losing someone who impacted the world with her resilience is never easy. In September 2025, we said goodbye to Bonnie Arditi. She was a beacon of light to everyone who knew her, and her legacy of courage continues to inspire us.

On June 4, 2026, we had the profound privilege of honoring her life in a truly breathtaking way: dedicating Quandary Peak in her honor. Standing tall and majestic, the peak is a fitting tribute to a woman who moved mountains in her own life through her unwavering spirit.

Before she passed, Bonnie shared the details of her journey with kidney cancer. In her honor, we want to share her story—a testament to faith, family, and finding joy in every single moment.

A Shocking Diagnosis

Bonnie’s journey began at age 51 when she noticed unusual symptoms that prompted a visit to the doctor. The diagnosis was a ground-shaking one: kidney cancer.

"I was shocked," Bonnie recalled.

Despite the initial fear that comes with a cancer diagnosis, Bonnie made a conscious choice right from the start. She knew that staying positive would be her greatest weapon against the challenges ahead.

Fighting with Resilience and Grace

Bonnie threw everything she had into her recovery. She underwent surgery to remove the affected kidney tissue and faced systemic therapy, which included both targeted treatments and immunotherapy.

Through the rigorous ups and downs of cancer treatments, Bonnie achieved a state of stable disease. While some spots remained, they stopped growing. For Bonnie, this victory came from focusing entirely on what she could control: her health, her mindset, and her daily habits.

The Cornerstones of Her Strength: Faith and Family

Bonnie never walked this path alone. She credited her deep faith and her beloved family as the absolute cornerstones of her support system.

The unwavering encouragement from her family and close friends gave her the strength to navigate the hardest days of treatment.

Her faith was her compass. Bonnie frequently offered a powerful reminder to anyone facing their own dark valleys:

"Keep your faith. God first—He is the one that is going to carry you through."

Embracing Life Fully

Cancer was a part of Bonnie’s life, but it never defined it. Outside of medical appointments, she continued to pour love and energy into the things she adored.

As a passionate hairdresser, she loved making others feel beautiful. She also dedicated herself to a healthy lifestyle that kept her physically and emotionally strong. Bonnie could often be found:

  • Cooking and baking delicious meals for the people she loved.

  • Walking and biking through beautiful scenery.

  • Working out to keep her body moving and resilient.

Bonnie’s Words of Wisdom

For anyone newly diagnosed or facing a daunting life hurdle, Bonnie left behind words of wisdom to live by:

"Keep your faith. Eat a clean diet, exercise, and make sure to rest. Stay positive and trust the process—you are stronger than you know."

A Peak Fit for a Queen

Dedicating Quandary Peak to Bonnie was a beautiful reminder of her enduring impact. Like the mountain, Bonnie was strong, magnificent, and unshakeable.

Her journey reminds us that even when faced with the unexpected, courage, faith, and love can carry us through. We miss you deeply, Bonnie, but your light continues to shine on every path we walk—and from the very top of the peaks you inspired us to climb.
