Join us for the biggest kidney cancer event in Ohio as we celebrate and elevate those affected by kidney cancer Aug 17, 2024 from 9 am-1 pm at the Wolstein Center in Cleveland. Climbing is the symbolism we draw on in the fight against cancer, but you don’t have to climb stairs to love this event. We will highlight patients on the big screen (our real heroes), there will be updates on the latest kidney cancer research, a silent auction, awards for teams, fund raising for kidney cancer, celebrities and lots of fun for all ages. All funds raised for this event are to benefit Cleveland Clinic
Location: Wolstein Center, Cleveland, OH (can park in the South Garage 2101 E 21st St, Cleveland, OH 44115) Race check-in 30-60 minutes prior to event time. Same day registration is possible at the race check in location. Parking is available around the stadium, $4-$6. The Stephanie Tubbs Jones Transit Center is next door.
Date: August 17th, 2024, Race Start at 900 am, more competitive/racing climbers will go first.
Purpose: We want to create a community that celebrates and elevates those affected by kidney and raise money for kidney cancer research. This year we want to raise $81,800 (one dollar for each American diagnosed with kidney cancer yearly) to fund kidney cancer research at Cleveland Clinic. We also have a goal to register 818 participants, each representing 100 kidney cancer diagnoses in the US per year. Who can climb 4 Kidney Cancer? Everyone! We have opportunities for all ability levels including the whole arena, virtual climbers, walk the mezzanine or climb as many stairs as you can. See below for a range of options. Every little bit helps us to #ConquerTogether.
Registration Prices: Early Bird Registration goes until to March 31st at midnight (Adults $35, College/University/Medical Students/Residents/Fellows and Kids 12-18 $25, kids under 12 free), then $45, $25, free respectively April 1st-Aug 3rd. After Aug 3rd, and same day registration (Adult$55, Students/Kids>12 $35, kids < 12 free) however, t-shirts sizes cannot be guaranteed. If you are a student/Resident/Fellow, you must show your school ID at race check-in. All climbers get a complimentary shirt with registration. ALL KIDNEY CANCER PATIENTS CAN REGISTER FOR FREE! We will have many Cleveland Clinic Kidney Cancer Experts on hand to update you on the latest developments in kidney cancer research. Information about ongoing clinical trials in kidney cancer will also be shared. Meet some of the Climb 4 KC scholars!
Research
All money raised and all donations go directly to fund kidney cancer research. Past events have provided scholarships for the brightest young minds in medicine as Climb 4 Kidney Cancer Scholars. In addition Climb4KC donations have funded pilot grants that resulted in millions of dollars of subsequent research funding from the DOD and the NIH. Read more here
Patient Celebration
Kidney Cancer Patients are the heroes of this day. You can get in for free, but you can also see your face on the big screen. Submit your story here. This day we celebrate you and have something that is fun to do with kidney cancer. Meet other patients and be sure to get your photo taken with all the other kidney patients at 9 am.

Fundraising
Form a fundraising team when you register and go out and help us raise one dollar for every kidney cancer patient who will be diagnosed in the US this year $81,800!
