We climbed for John
In Loving Memory of John
In 2008, John faced a challenging diagnosis of kidney cancer. With resilience and strength, he underwent a successful radical nephrectomy and was declared cancer-free—a moment of true triumph and relief for everyone who loved him.
Sadly, during a routine checkup in 2013, doctors discovered that the cancer had returned and metastasized. Through every step of his journey, John met each challenge with incredible courage.
In June 2026, we dedicated our climb of Mt. Blue Sky to John—taking every step up the mountain to honor his spirit, endurance, and memory.
We extend our deepest gratitude to Ellen, Gus, Jen, and all of his family and friends. Your unwavering love and support throughout his journey brought so much strength and light to his life.
"Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day."
Rest in peace, John. You will always be remembered, honored, and dearly missed.
