We Climbed For Trevor

Trevor

When Trevor Stoermer walked into a room, you didn't just see him—you felt his warmth immediately. Greeting everyone with a genuine smile and a warm hug, Trevor possessed a heart of gold and a spirit built for high-octane living. He was the definition of a true go-getter: big-hearted, hardworking, and forever chasing the next great thrill.

A Cowboy Behind the Wheel A cowboy at heart from a very young age, Trevor worked just as hard as he played. That fierce, competitive drive eventually found its true home on the racetrack. When race season arrived, Trevor’s enthusiasm was electric. Seeing him shine behind the wheel was a masterclass in watching someone pursue their absolute passion with 110% of their soul.

Yet, as much as he loved the speed and the thrill, Trevor never went on an adventure alone—his big heart meant he was always pulling the people he loved along for the ride.

The Definition of "Cowboy Up" Tattooed across Trevor’s chest over his heart were two words that defined his entire life: "Cowboy Up." It was his personal code, a daily reminder to choose courage over fear and to never, ever give up.

When cancer entered his life, Trevor showed the world what ultimate resilience looks like. His strength shone brightest not in quiet defeat, but in how he kept moving forward. He continued to run his own business, managed endless doctor appointments, and never missed a beat when it came to showing up for his family and friends. What a medical chart could never capture was his drive to succeed and his never-ending capacity to love.

Carrying Trevor to the Summit As our Peaks for Patients climbers ascend the mountain, they carry Trevor’s unbreakable mantra with them: "Cowboy Up."

When the team reaches the peak and gazes out at the horizon, we celebrate a man who fought till the very end and whose spirit lives on in every new adventure. As his loved ones remind us:

"Every sunrise feels like a whisper from you, reminding me that love doesn’t end—it just changes form. You’re in the soft breeze that brushes my face, the stars that flicker when I say your name, and the strength that carries me when I don’t think I have any left."

Up on the summit, surrounded by the wind and the open sky, Trevor’s drive, love, and courage live on.
